Boinkology Top Ten: Gayest Music Videos Ever

As you’re probably aware, June is Gay Pride Month. To show our gay pride, we’re having Gay Week over at Boinkology: from Monday to Friday, it’s all gay posts, all the gay time.

Gayness and music videos go together like peanut butter and jelly (and if you doubt that statement, just check out the first video to air on MTV). Since we like gayness, and we like music videos, we’ve assembled a list of the gayest music videos ever made, for your viewing pleasure (or pain, in some cases).

10. Wham – Wham Rap! (Enjoy What You Do)
Wham, bam, I am a man, job or no job, you can’t tell me that I’m not… gay. I mean, seriously: “I may not have a job but I have a good time with the boys I meet down on the line”?

9. Village People – Macho Man
It’s like being in the lobby of a Chelsea hotel room… with a cowboy, an Indian, a leather daddy, a construction worker, and a black guy who just wants to get his workout on.

8. Elton John – I’m Still Standing
Rainbow colors, lots of spandex, mostly naked men (body painted, at that!): is it the eighties, or is it just gay?

7. Gay Pimp – Looking Cute, Feeling Cute
If Jonny McGovern liked girls, or if I were a gay man, I would so be doing him right now. Nevertheless: given that this song is by the Gay Pimp, has scenes at the Gay Pimp Mansion, and talks about why it’s okay to be gay… shouldn’t be too hard to figure out why it made the list.

6. Sylvester – You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)
It could be the disco balls, it could be the short shorts, it could be the falsetto, it could be the fact that Sylvester dresses in drag… or it could just be that it’s all kinda gay.

5. Fake Gunther – Gigolo
For those not in the know, this is a parody of the music videos of musician Gunther, who basically does the same thing, only with more naked ladies. After watching this video, I will never view Christmas the same way again.

4. O-Zone – Dragostea Din Tei
Perhaps better known as “The Numa Numa Song,” O-Zone’s hit enjoyed a brief run of Stateside fame thanks to one fan’s lip dub video. Please take a moment to watch the actual, O-Zone produced music video: it is awesome and involves a dance party on the wing of a plane. And some rainbows and half naked men.

3. Tom Boy – Ok2BGay
The title of this song really just puts it right out there, doesn’t it? Bonus points for the (literal) “coming out of the closet” scene, and for the line “Hey man, gay man, pick up the soap/Get on your knees and pray.”

2. Pizazz! – Pizazz! (We’re Gonna Give It To You)
In some alternate reality where there is no homophobia, this is totally the opening sequence to a children’s show.

1. Scissor Sisters – I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’
The Scissors Sisters have brought a certain something (color? pizazz? flashiness? gayness?) back to the music scene, and it’s totally, totally awesome.
