Boinkology just found a new site to hate: Couples WorldWide, which is something along the lines of MySpace for couples (though the site has the feel of a really shitty personals site.).
Yeah: apparently it’s not enough for couples to move in together, have babies, and merge finances. Oh no, now they must also social network together as well.
Call us crazy: we prefer to maintain a social life separate from our relationship (you know, so we still have friends if the relationship falls through). Sure, hanging out with your significant other is fun, and it’s nice to include them in your life, but really: having some space is pretty important… and social networking sites seem like a good place to make a claim for individuality.
Oh, and in case you couldn’t tell, Couples WorldWide is not a swinger site. See, it says it right there on the front page. Though honestly, we’d probably be less horrified if it were a swinger site: at least swingers limit their couple-seeking-couple action to sex, not their entire social life.
