We’ve mentioned before that we like knowing that a healthy sex life can continue way past middle age — we were even more excited to learn that sex blogging can also continue into the later years of life.

Ladies and gentlemen, we’d like to introduce you to Sexagenarian and the City, or “A Babyboomer’s Adventures With Jewish Gentlemen in the New York Dating Scene.” Yes, dating is an ageless past time — and, apparently, so are awkward conversations with parents about one’s new love interest:

I thought I’d phone her tomorrow evening, the night before I left, to tell her what’s up.

How to phrase it?
– I have a boyfriend.
– I have a boyfriend!
– I’m dating someone.
– I’m dating a performer.
– There’s a man in my life.
– I’m spending the weekend with a friend.
– I’m going away for the weekend with the man I’m dating.

Those may strike you as only minor variations, but each one has a different aura. I wonder which one I’ll use. I’ll just see what words come out.

Man, we were hoping we’d have mastered the art of parentspeak by the time we reached sixty. We’ll keep reaching for that rainbow.
