So we’re all for unusual pick up scenes (in theory, at least: Boinkology paramours tend to come from work, the Internet, friends, work, the Internet, the Internet, and the Internet), but seeing this announcement for Gothamist’s new singles event just left us… confused? Yeah, confused.
Okay: so everyone likes food, right? And hipsters (Or bloggers? Blogsters?) totally have a hard on for Whole Foods… and hard ons and dating go together like… well, Whole Foods and organic produce.
No, we’re still confused. Let’s try this again.
Okay, so we know there’s a history of supermarkets as singles scenes (or at least one supermarket in San Francisco), but is that really reason to make the Bowery Whole Foods a one night meat market? And what kind of activities do Gothamist and Whole Foods have planned for this evening (is it Yahtzee? We’re really hoping for Yahtzee!)?
We’re almost tempted to go undercover and check out “Check Out” — but Whole Foods kinda creeps us out.

Possible pick up lines…
“Paper or plastic baby?”
“10 items or less”
“You’re in the express lane to my heart”
