Condoms have been blamed for many a lost erection (wasn’t there an episode of Seinfeld about that?): but if British condom maker Futura Medical has any say, the war between condom and erection will soon be a thing of the past.
How’s that, you ask? Futura has developed a brand new condom (currently known as CSD500) which (if studies are to be believed) helps men to get firmer erections (compared with a standard condom), increases penis size and makes sex last longer.
Is it a special design? Some fancy new latex? A vacuum tube? No, no, and no: you can thank a special gel (to be trademarked under the name Zanifil) said to dilate the arteries and increase blood flow to the penis. Sounds a little scary to us (we’re still freaked out by Durex Performax condoms, which contain benzocaine to numb the penis), but hey: to each his own condom, really.
Excited by the idea? CSD500s (which will be distributed by Durex) should be hitting the market later this year (at least in the EU). Presumably they’ll have a sexier name, as well — maybe something along the lines of the Durex Everhard?

A good condom with a strong base can act like a low pressure cockring — not very restrictive, but sometimes it’s just enough.
