Normally we wouldn’t care about a dating site that caters to graduates of Ivy League (and comparable) schools: hey, if people want to limit themselves like that, they can have at it. But something about the name Good Genes rubbed us the wrong way (maybe we’re just sensitive about eugenics).
We gotta say: you’d think a site that’s trying to attract an exclusive, well educated clientele would be able to muster up enough of a budget to make a website that looked like it was designed in… well, 2002 at the very least. But no: Good Genes is stuck firmly in 1998, with a “profile” system that more closely resembles the newspaper personals of yesteryear than any online personals we’ve ever seen (SWM ISO SF, anyone?).
But hey: who needs a well put together website when you’ve got a superior education, right? The smug graduates of Worcester Polytechnic Institute know that they’re better than the rest of you chumps: and they don’t need your fancy web 2.0 tricks to prove it.
