In honor of Fashion Week (which kicks off today!), we’ve put together a list of some sexy fashion essentials. Whether on the body or on the floor (preferably the latter), these are the articles of clothing that make us want to bone.

[Ed.: It should be noted, of course, that the sexiest articles of clothing are those that fit well, flatter the body, and boost confidence. We like to think of the aphorism "Know thyself" as another way of saying, "Wearing a size eight may make you feel sexier, but if you're really a size ten, it just makes you look bad."]

Go-go Boots

You can keep your stilettos and your fancy heels — we think being able to walk is pretty damn hot. And we’ve always loved the way a high, tight book accentuates the leg. The Wikipedia entry on go-go boots even refers to them as “fuck-me boots.” Nuff said.

Boy shorts

There was a time when Boinkology was a thong devotee: all thong, all the time. More skin equals more hotness, right? Then one day it dawned on us: underwear with a butt is sexy. We don’t know why, it’s just how it is. Especially when the underwear in question is a pair of boy shorts (or, if you prefer, hipsters): when properly worn, they’ve been known to make our heart skip a beat (or two!).

Wifebeaters

Maybe it’s because they’re kinda see through… maybe it’s because they’re really comfortable… maybe it’s because they look good on everyone… or maybe it’s all of the above. We have a fantasy that involves a hot young thing wearing a wifebeater — we’ll let you imagine the rest.

Knee socks

Knee socks are somewhere along the go-go boot axis (form fitting? Leg-accentuating? Check and check!), but with a slightly more innocent edge. Well, innocent the way Dolores Haze is innocent.

Hoodies

We like to think of hoodies as the leather jackets of the American Apparel age. Or not. They comfortable, they’re cute, and they make us want to cuddle. Oh, and they can have that bad boy/girl edge, if you like.
