The New York Times “Modern Love” column: 1/3 inspiring, 1/3 boring, and 1/3 aggravating. Every Monday, we review this week’s installment, and let you know how the current tale of love (lost, found, or otherwise) stacks up.
This week’s “Modern Love” is kind of like one those movies that seems totally normal at first (action packed rom-com!) and then — BAM! — halfway through, you suddenly realize that it’s actually a Christmas movie.
Except instead of being about Christmas, this piece is about 9/11.
Okay, maybe it makes sense and all, given that 9/11 is tomorrow and whatnot, but it caught us offguard. Apart from that, it’s a cute little story of a woman bound for India on a date with a fireman (worlds collide!) and some elevator makeouts… hm, maybe they did have to stick the 9/11 in there to make it interesting.
