We’re not quite sure how we remained completely unaware of New York’s “Sex Diaries” series for so many months (though we suspect it might have something to do with our complete and total lack of interest in the New York Magazine blog).
Nevertheless, now that we’ve discovered it, we’re pretty sure it’s well on our way to becoming our new favorite thing. Lying somewhere on the spectrum between academic and prurient, “Sex Diaries” allows us to study the lives of New Yorkers from one of the most intimate perspectives — while simultaneously figuring out who’s having more sex than we are.
[NB: We can't help but notice that, for the past few weeks, "Sex Diaries" has exclusively featured female subjects. Are women more interested in sharing their intimate details? Are readers more interested in the intimate lives of women? We kinda want to hear about what the men are up to, thanks. The more diverse the column is, the more interesting it is.]
