Is the Sexual Relationship Database creepy? Is it awesome? Is it somewhere in between?

The Boinkology jury is out on this one.

On the one hand, we’re totally into the idea of viewing sexual connections as a kind of social networking (as you can see in this piece on sexual hubs). If we’ve learned anything from the deluge of social networking sites, people love showing how they’re connected to the rest of the world: socially, professionally, through taste in music — so why not sexually? Why shouldn’t sexual connections be treated like any other?

On the other hand, there’s something kinda creepy — and crappy — about this website, and we have a sneaking suspicion that, um, the “World Health Optimization Management” is a fake organization. And given that the database seems to be mostly filled with misspelled celebrity names — well, let’s just say we’re having some difficulty believing that it’s really achieving, well, much of anything.

Though we were interested to learn that George Bush has had sex with the US Military, US Citizens, the Constitution, and, uh, Scott Owen. That man gets around!
