At some point, perhaps when we were sleeping, people started talking about having sex with robots. And marrying robots. And not as a joke, either: as a real future possibility, apparently set to take Massachusetts by storm within the next half century.

Our knowledge of “robosexuality” is pretty much limited to the episode of “Futurama” where Fry dates a Lucy Liu-bot. As we recall, that didn’t end so well — but hey, life isn’t TV, so maybe real life robosexuals would fare a little better.

We’re all for people doing whatever gets their rocks off, so long as no one gets hurt and everyone involved is a consenting adult. And we’re pretty sure that sex with a robot is less creepy than sex with a Real Doll — and since that seems to be gaining acceptance in society… hey, maybe robosexuality really is the wave of the future!
