Apparently there’s underwear on someone’s mind this week: we got tipped off to, not one, but two underwear related stories that went up yesterday. First up: New York Magazine put out “The Everything Guide to Bras,” which, yes, covers everything from proper fit to proper care to the mechanics of bras.

We’re pretty sure most ladies don’t know that much about their undergarments — our own knowledge pretty much ends with, “Damn, bras sure are useful” — so this guide seems pretty useful. Because, really now: shouldn’t you know just how your favorite bra makes you look so good?

Next up: across the pond (and via Jezebel), The Daily Mail polls a panel of men about their lingerie preferences. We’ve long suspected that men don’t really care about fancy lingerie, and this piece pretty much confirms it. Clocking in with 8/10 points, the first place “sporty” look scored far, far higher than the sexy black teddy, which scored a measly 2/10.

Oh, and we were very happy to see that the “mismatched” look scored almost as high as sporty: lord knows we don’t have enough time (or, for that matter, money) to make sure our underwear always matches our bra. We barely have enough time to find nice looking bras to begin with!
