Want to teach your child the importance of abstaining from sex until marriage? Try stressing the message often, and early — and by early, we mean while they’re still in the womb. Or better yet, before they’re even conceived!
Sound crazy? We agree — but it’s too far from an assignment recently handed out to students at Methodist Ladies’ College in Claremont, Australia. Students were instructed to write letters to their future children, explaining why it’s important to hold off on the boinking until they’re legally wed.
When challenged by parents who claimed that this assignment was more dogma than, well, sex education, the school principal replied that “sex education was taught from three perspectives — health, religion and biology.” We’re thinking kids could probably benefit from a little more health and biology and a little less religion. But hey, that’s just us.
