Upping My Numbers, A Story Book

We like to keep a list of everyone we’ve gotten it on with. It’s not so much for the notch-on-the-bedpost factor; it’s far more a personal record, something to help us keep track of our various affairs and entanglements.

At times, we’ve considered turning this list into some kind of art project: a book, perhaps, or a short story, or a photo project. Apparently, we’re not the only ones who think that way: take a look at Hally McGehean’s Upping My Numbers, A Story Book.

Through a combination of (very) short stories and photos, McGehean tells the tale(s) of her nineteen partners, offering intimate insights into her life and loves. It’s a beautiful project — part reflection, part celebration, a wonderful way to examine a life in sex.
