These days, it seems like everyone is running for President — and, of course, each candidate is eager to set themselves apart from the others with use of political television ads.

But none of today’ s ads can hold a candle that of Larry Flynt, who in 1984 made this brilliant commercial in his bid for the presidency. Featuring his then deeply drug addicted wife, Althea, the ad runs through Flynt’s campaign issues, including a promise to paint the White House pink.

How on earth did he ever lose to Reagan?
