Bored with Verdana? Helvetica Bold just not exciting you anymore? Can’t even get it up for Futura Book? Direct your attention to the Typosperma Project, a “biotypography” project created by Israeli typographer Oded Ezer. As conceived by Ezer, the typosperma are “new transgenic creatures, half (human) sperm, half letter… cloned sperms [with] typographic information… implanted into their DNA. ”
Sure, it’s a little hard to read, but we think it’s a damn site more professional looking than Comic Sans. And hey: who doesn’t love sperm cells?

Ugh. That’s just grotesque. I was all for the glow-in-the-dark cat, the mouse with a human ear grown on its back…
However, this just seems pointlessly cruel. The mouse can live comfortably, the cats might one day be the next hot designer pet… these zygotes can no longer perform their chief function, or at least that function is highly impaired.
This isn’t science. This is grotesque mutilation of life USING science.
