Bloggies Ignore Sex Blogs
It’s time for the eighth annual Weblog Awards — also know as the Bloggies — and, once again, sex blogs have been completely ignored by the powers that be. Sure, sex blogs could technically be nominated under the “Best Topical Blog” category — but really, aren’t there enough of them to warrant their own award?
Is it sheer oversight? Sexphobia? An assumption that sex blogs are somehow inferior to the other blogs out there?
Whatever it is, we’d like to know — cause hey, we’d like to be considered for the Bloggies too!

Would creating our own damn Sex Blogs awards (actually, wasn’t that done already in 2006? didn’t Figleaf win best male sex blogger?) kind of like the Sex Positive Journalism Awards, be a good thing or further ghettoization? I can’t decide. I go back and forth on it.
