As we’ve mentioned before, Valentine’s Day is a scant few weeks away. If you’re in love — or like, or lust — there’s a good chance you’re planning on celebrating the Hallmark holiday of hearts and flowers (though if you choose not to, we fully support that — who needs a special day to recognize something that’s awesome all year round?).

Of course, finding the right gift can be a tricky proposition: so much of what you can find at the store is tacky, overpriced, mass produced, and just not very special. So we’ve scoured Etsy (our favorite source for handmade goods!) for the gifts that really say, “My love for you is special and unique — just like this handmade item!”

• Sock Monkey Valentines: If you’re going to say it with a card, say it with a sock monkey card.
• Ninja Love Bag: Won’t you be my secret assassin?
• “Birds in Love” print: Cute, sweet, and perfect for that blank spot on your loved one’s wall.
• Cardstock candy hearts: Longer lasting than actual candy hearts (though probably about as tasty).
• “You Are My Sunshine” print: We’re suckers for that song, so we’re suckers for this print.
• My Sweet Valentine cupcake: Because nothing says “I love you” like chocolate.
