Since we’re based in New York, we’ve spent the past week hearing all about Fashion Week: the shows, the parties, how our lives will be completely, totally changed by the garments unveiled by various designers. Fashion’s all well and good, but we’re far more interested in National Condom Week, which starts in just a couple of days.

Interestingly enough, at least one group has found a way to combine the highlights of both Condom Week and Fashion Week. Next week, students at the University of Southern Mississippi will be celebrating their awareness of the tools of safer sex with a condom fashion show, debuting a line of couture fashioned from prophylactics.

Functional and fashionable: condom couture is definitely something we can get behind!
