Ever wonder why Americans are so conflicted and frustrated when it comes to talking about sex? Maybe it’s because we’re not getting any — at least according to the Durex Sexual Wellbeing Global Survey. According to the fine minds at Durex, a mere 46% of Americans have exciting sex lives — and, even worse, we spend less than an hour a week getting it on.

We blame abstinence-only education for this one. If kids grow up thinking that sex is something to be feared, how are they ever going to embrace and cherish it (or do it for longer than an hour a week) once they become adults?
