So did you hear that Michael Stipe is gay? Yeah. Much as we appreciate public figures being open and out about their sexuality (and proving that all kinds of people are gay), we do get a little tired of the assumption that gay people have to publicly come out — rather than just being able to, well, be gay, the way that straight people are allowed to just be straight.
