
You would think that, given the prevalence that HIV holds on the world stage, if one wanted to be president of a relatively important global player like, say, the United States of America, one would have a very well thought out policy plan — complete with press ready sound bites — for addressing HIV.
You would think that, but given John McCain’s performance in Iowa a scant few weeks ago — well, it seems that that is not the case.
And we wonder why HIV rates are on the rise.

He’s following the Bush model when questioned publicly on sex and sexually tangential comments. Evade, stammer, avoid.
In 8 years in office Bush has never talked about homosexuality (”protecting marriage”) or sex education (”Values in Schools” “Abstinence works”) or addressed the social issues behind the AIDS epidemic (”Medical researchers doing good work”) except in code language. McCain’s older than Bush and his ass is so tight you could stick a piece of…oh we’ve all seen Ferris Bueller.
