Paternity Tests: It’s Not Love Unless You Know For Sure

We suppose it was only a matter of time before someone came out with an at-home paternity test. After all, finding out whether your child is really yours is a personal process — who wants to involve a doctor in such an intense process of discovery?

At the same time, there’s a lot that could go wrong with an at home paternity test. Let’s hope it doesn’t end up looking like this:

    I dunno… paternity is a fuzzy thing, really. A random dude my (hypothetical) wife banged while drunk one night is the “real” father of a kid who I have known and cared for throughout a pregnancy and the first years of their life?

    I don’t think so…

    It all comes back to the nature vs. nurture thing, I guess. I have to agree with you, though — and it’s why I always get annoyed when people say that adoptive parents aren’t “real” parents.
