Given that necessity porn is the mother of invention, it’s actually a bit surprising that the DVDs by mail model (aka Netflix) originated with a service that doesn’t supply porn. Of course, you can’t keep adult content down for long — UrentDVDs.com has picked up where Netflix leaves off, renting adult DVDs to anyone with a credit card and an Internet connection.
Nice as this service seems to be, we can’t shake the feeling that DVDs are just so last decade. Anyone got a read on when iTunes will be offering an adult section? (Well, until then, there’s always this.)
Comments
I’m not sure if iTunes itself will offer an adult section any time in the near future, for a number of reasons, but mostly because I suspect they believe it would be detrimental to their image. The up side is that leaves a business opportunity for the rest of us; consider a service that is to iTunes what UrentDVDs is to Netflix. A clever programming team may even be able to implement the client side as an iTunes plugin…
