Though we’re loathe to automatically accept sex research (or, for that matter, any research) at face value — especially when it appears in as, uh, reputable a news outlet as London’s Sun — we have to wonder if there isn’t, perhaps, a grain of truth to this study.
Orgasms — and in particular, female orgasms — are tricky business. Try too hard, or think too much, and you may find yourself missing your mark. And given that ladies who pursue higher education are more likely to be, say, overachievers, or overthinkers, it’s not too much of a stretch to think that these ladies might be prone to doing the thinky thinky when it would be better to just lie back and relax.
Now, we’d never say that women should abandon education in the hopes of an improved sex life, or that being uneducated is somehow a female virtue — but if future research bears this hypothesis out, it’s certainly worth examining why this might be so.
I may be going out on a limb here, but I’d wager that if we lived a slightly more sex friendly society, ladies — even hypereducated ladies — would have less to worry and fret over and think about when they’re getting it on, making this whole question more than a bit moot.

maybe educated women are (on the whole) less afraid to really speak their mind on that particular, delicate, too many times misrepresented matter?
