“Cougar” Officially A Mainstream Term

We just got word of an in-the-works young-boys-pursue-mature-woman dating series, scheduled to air on TV Land in early 2009.

The working title? “Untitled Cougar Project.”

Well, it’s better than “MILF Island.”

At least it sounds as if they’ll make the cougars seem a worthy object of desire/pursuit? Last year’s ‘Age of Love,’ which pitted cougars vs. “kittens” - women in their 20s - to win the one bachelor, got lots of laff mileage over his discomfort with the very notion.

My DVR crashed shortly after, so I never did find out who won in the end. Though I’m sure much hilarity - and humiliation - ensued!

I’m not sure if reality TV ever makes anyone seem worthy… ha. But point taken. I’m all for promoting the notion that older women are hot!

have you seen Cougar Club? it was kind of fascinating, if not exactly a great movie. but it was chock full of hot older ladies (including princess leia!) and in the end, the older woman and the younger guy totally get together, as opposed to her just teaching him how to be a lover or some stupid shit. if i had my act together, i’d smoke some pot and write a killer academic paper about it.

that said, about 2 weeks ago, because of 30 rock, i had to tell my mom what a milf was. she said, “oh! i am so out of the loop.” then she made me tell my dad. then i told her about cougar club.
