What Women Want Out Of Porn (It’s Not This.)

Spotted on the Tumblr Radar: this post detailing the author’s vision of porn for women:

It starts off with a married couple talking about wanting to conceive. They show the camera the possible colors for the baby’s room and the Storkcraft Crib they’ve purchased online.

They announce that according to their doctor, this is the best time to conceive. We follow them to their room, hurrying to take their clothes off. Cut to fifteen minutes of missionary.

The last hour and a half is cuddling and reading a baby names book out loud to each other.

Could someone direct Lee to the Smart Girls’ Porn Club or at least this post about porn for the ladies? Not all of us — we’d even dare to say very few of us — are wacking it to thoughts of screaming babies.

how naive, not to mention sexist.

  • Isil says :

Smart thing would be to stop addressing the question as Porn For Women or Porn for Ladies or what women want from porn altogether.

How many different porn trends are there for guys?

Shouldnt be that different for ladies. (even though hormones and sex drive is statistically higher in us pigs)

Putting everysingle female porn user into the same bag (sweaty and yummy as it might be) is not really a step towards “equity”, its just a claver marketing move.

Could someone direct Lux to “sarcasm” and “humor.”

It makes me sad that no one understands he was being goofy. You don’t have to think it’s funny, but it wasn’t meant seriously.

  • Rebecca says :

    Hi!
This author was obviously kidding and it made the radar because a bunch of idiots got upset about it. Learn to take a joke!

    DV, Kelly, Rebecca:

Fear not, I actually have a very well developed sense of humor. Regardless of whether or not this was meant in jest (and yes, I understand that it was), it still sheds some interesting light on assumptions about, say, what women want and what gets them off.
