Teen Too Sexy For Senior Prom

We’ve often said that it should be a crime to be as sexy as we are — but we never actually thought anyone would take us seriously. But just last week, Texas teen Marche Taylor was taken away in handcuffs after she showed up to her senior prom in a dress that school officials deemed too sexy for school.

Should it be a crime to look this good? Or should we just let sexy be sexy?

HAND….CUFFS…??? Does she look like a threat? Maybe she was going to run away in those spike heels?? That is revolting and wrong. Some asshole cop was fulfilling his little bondage fantasy on this girl. No excuse. I almost wish this had happened to me so I could have the fun of hitting every major news outlet with my tale of racist, sexist, grabby-handed cops. Ew.

she should absolutely get her money back, and she should sue the cops and win.

i don’t like the dress. i do think they can enforce a dress code, but i don’t see how failing to meet a dress code is an arrestable offense.

From what I’ve read about this, she was arrested for her insolence and refusal to cooperate with the bouncer. He only called the cops after an uproarious debate ensued. She was not leaving willingly.

Yeah, I don’t like the dress. I think that if there was something in writing before the prom in which it was stated that school dress code applied, then they had every right to kick her out, and she doesn’t deserve her money back, and she was a brat for making a scene. The exception would be if she were doing this as a political stunt to make a statement about the ludicrousness of the dress code, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

However, if there was no indication that normal school rules were to be upheld at this prom, then she had every right to wear the dress (however hideous it is), every right to make a scene, and every right to get her money back.

    It’s all about context.

Come on! She looks like she belongs on a corner somewhere. Hands cuffs are way over the top and she should get her money back for her prom ticket…but she also should have know better than to dress like a total tramp.
