Without giving away too much, we’d like to say that we were surprised (and intrigued!) to see polyamory prominently featured in the latest “Futurama” straight-to-DVD movie (though given that it’s called The Beast with a Billion Backs, maybe that’s not much of a spoiler).

We’ll leave it to you to decide whether or not the portrayal of polyamory is positive or negative (we could go either way), but regardless, we have to say it’s pretty nice to see a depiction of polyamory that goes beyond the standard backwater Mormons in bonnets trope.

But given that this is the show that started talking robosexuality years and years before anyone had ever heard of David Levy — well, maybe we shouldn’t be that surprised.
