We would have commented on the Verne Troyer sex tape story earlier, but when the whole thing broke, we were a little busy being gay. But since this story just won’t die, we figured we could still chime in without looking too late to the party.
So, that said: celebrity sex tapes. We’ve all seen them. At this point, it almost seems that you’re not really a celebrity until at least one porno company has tried to buy the rights to your genitals. Yet for some reason, the Verne Troyer sex tape seemed to shock people just a little bit more (Defamer even went so far as to declare it “conclusive proof that our civilization is doomed.”).
But, um, why? What makes Troyer’s sex tape so much worse, so much different than all the rest? Why single him out for such disgust?
We can think of one, uh, “small” reason: but the media wouldn’t be that shallow, would it?

July 8th, 2008 at 12:09 pmi haven’t seen it, but i haven’t seen the dustin diamond one either. i think the disgust lies in the fact that unsexy people are making sex tapes. it’s much easier for people to swallow the idea of watching paris hilton get dicked then to see screech have a 3 way. it’s show business.. you have to give the people what they want (although… i’m sure someone out there is into the mini me sex tape). it might not be right, or fair, but life isn’t fair.

I will have to admit that there is humor in this particular sex tape…. Paris Hilton was boring, Dustin Diamond.. umm ya… but the humor in this one is different. The height difference does add comical aspects. Do I think its sad we’re making a bigger deal out of this because he’s a Dwarf? Hell Yes I do. Am I happy someone who isn’t considered the norm is getting laid? FUCK YES I AM. Vern has the right to get laid as many times as the next man whore in high school!! So ya for him……..
