We’ve been known to make fun of the Craigslist Personals section (because, you know, Craigslist) — but we still understand that, in spite of our misgivings, it’s still a place where many people turn when they’re looking for love. Or at least sex. Which makes it a pretty perfect place to conduct a sociological study of the world of online dating.
Which is more or less what Anna Reed and Lily Penza, two middle-aged women who have spent the past 11 months “sleeping around on Craigslist,” have done. Using their 11 months of experience as a base, they’ve compiled a bit of a guide to life on the Craigslist personals. It’s fascinating, educational reading — and yeah, it kinda makes us all the more convinced of our original assessment of Craigslist.
But still! A good read!
