This is more or less how it breaks down: when you give people an easy tool for mass publication (like, say, blogging), many people will adopt that publishing platform. Within that group of people, a large chunk will use it to write about the only topic they know all that much about: themselves.

Humans being humans, we’ll all naturally try to use this new medium to a) meet people, and b) get laid. And, what with all those people using this “blogging” thing to talk about their lives — well, its only natural that some of them will use this mass publication medium to talk about their sex lives, as well. Which, sadly, can only lead to backlash.

Observe: You Fucked PocketNovel, a tumblr solely dedicated to reblogging the posts of one specific Tumblr user and appending snarky comments all referring to the fact that, yes, he engaged in sexual relations with another Tumblr user.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have reached a new low. Now who wants to pull the big plug and disconnect the intertubes?
