As you may have heard elsewhere, Gawker Media — publisher of Fleshbot and, by extension, my employer — recently cut 19 writers from their payrolls. I had the odd distinction of being one of the few people to come out ahead in this mess: rather than getting cut, I was promoted. I’m now the Editor of Fleshbot, with all the joys (and headaches) that that involves.

For those who are wondering: no, my new responsibilities at Fleshbot do not mean the death of Boinkology. Boinkology will still be here, updating daily, until they pry it from my cold, dead fingers. However, it could use a little help: I’m opening up the call for smart, snarky, thoughtful writers with passionate interest in sex — if you’re interested in being involved, please shoot an email (and a few writing samples) over to lux at boinkology dot com.

The pay may be crap nonexistent, but the prestige is immeasurable.
