Proposition 8 succeeded in California, but it’s going to court and hopefully it will be slapped down, hard.
While that goes on, artifacts from the intolerant bigots behind the eight hate can be viewed online. Like this chestnut, which features a child bringing a book (NO!) home from school and excitedly exclaiming that she might marry a girl one day. Clearly this is worse than a million terrorist attacks. But it’s ok, because a fat white man will jump out and make it all better.
The book used in this, and a number of videos, is the fantastic “King and King”, which itself was the subject of a lawsuit.
Then there’s the video that contrasts all the wonderful stock footage of hetero families (gay families don’t show up on video, like vampires) contrasted with angry images of people against proposition 8. It’s shocking how angry people get when you try to deprive them of their rights. Those crazy gays keyed a Lexus! That’s a very expensive car!
There’s a whole channel of these videos. Hopefully, very soon, these will be artifacts of a far less tolerant time.

According to the bigots, what would be the bad things that being raised by a gay couple would produce to the child?
Turning them, somehow, into gays?
