In my lifetime the Presidency has rarely been a sexy position. Reagan was grandfatherly, Bush the elder seemed to have married his mother, Clinton oozed sex but in a way that seemed less sensual and more criminal and Bush the younger had that anti-sexual frat boy vibe.

Barack Obama is going to be a very sexy president.

Beyond his youth and vigor, he’s a married man who is not afraid share a PDA with his wife. Take this photo from Callie Shell (above) as an example. This is a couple who still have a very healthy intimate life. Michelle Obama is neither the drone-droid wife-bot or the wheedling spouse with an agenda to flog. She’s a smart, beautiful woman married to a rock-stare politician. From every indication they are very much a team and nothing is sexier than a power couple ascending.

So besides change and hope and reform and all the myriad other things Obama will be bringing to the White House, can we also finally have a president who makes us just a little bit hot? Hail to the Chief, baby.
