Porn is ubiquitous. On the internet porn is ubiquitous to the power of infinity.
Whatever the fetish, preference or act, you can find it online. This is not a revelation, it’s a given known to every sweaty-palmed teen and rain-soaked guy at the library hunched over a terminal.
But most of it is pretty much shit.
Bad lighting, bad hair, bad poses, no spontanaity, all the sexiness of a happy meal that’s been left out in the snow. A single good, sexy, charged photo can stiffen the blood and send the mind reeling. But in an ocean are you trying to find just one fish?
Easy, Tumblr.
For the uninitiated, or simply avoiding, tumblr is a micro-blogging service. Quick to set-up, easy to post links, text, videos and images. Oh, the images.
Tumblr appeals to the tech-geek/creative classes, so the images tend to be beautifully shot, composed, sensual, playful and very, very hot. These are not scans of some over-hyped, ’shopped playboy spread, these are erotic nudes, artful screwing and raunch.
Sites like Alt Porn have been at it for a while. A Fuck A Day, bendmeover and carnalknowledge, bring smart smut to the masses. Wander around their links for a while and find whole worlds of artful debauchery.
Just be careful if you choose to follow them on your own tumblr. The juxtaposition of the latest post from a distant friend with russian shag-frolics might be jarring.
Comments
Let’s hope tweets and tumblrs don’t dull the future of human expression. Not to promote myself but… I equated this trend of reduced wordiness to Newspeak a few days ago on my site.
